General Info

About Tami Fuller Tami Fuller fell in love with the idea of a career in medicine because of an inspiring high school chemistry and anatomy teacher. When she was young, she also had the experience of caring for her grandmother who had polio. “I loved helping her and knew I was destined to be a nurse or health care provider,” she says. Now, 27 years later, she has experienced much as a pediatric/PICU nurse and finds joy in helping children and their families at their most vulnerable. She cares for children who need surgery or ongoing care stemming from previous surgical procedures. “I love to help them on their journey to health and well-being.” Her philosophy as a provider is to always do the right thing, even when it is hard. She has learned that each person she cares for is unique and to see them as a whole, not just a problem to be fixed. Tami’s wish is for the families she works with to know that she is on their side. “I love to teach families how to care for their children,” she says. As a graduate of IU South Bend and Spring Arbor University (Michigan), Tami has spent her entire career with Beacon. “I love what Beacon stands for; the heart of the mission that shines through in our successes and hardships,” she says.
