General Info
The dedicated caregivers of Beacon Medical Group Kidney & Hypertension treat those with kidney disease — including chronic kidney disease (CKD) — a disease that affects 1 in 8 Americans. Beacon Medical Group Kidney & Hypertension providers use a multidisciplinary approach that includes nephrologists, interventional radiologists, cardiologists, endocrinologists and other key individuals trained on slowing and managing kidney disease. Beacon Medical Group Kidney & Hypertension uses the Awareness-Prevention-Treatment (APT) approach to chronic kidney disease, a multifaceted approach that's focused on the prevention, early detection and treatment of chronic kidney disease, hypertension, anemia, renal bone disease and secondary hyperparathyroidism. Rather than treat the disease after it's progressed, our staff works with patients who have been recently diagnosed with chronic kidney disease or who are showing symptoms. Our medical staff works with patients and their primary care providers to create a care plan that involves education, nutritional support, social support services and ongoing management. This proactive, collaborative approach prevents or delays the progression of kidney disease and improves the overall quality of life for people diagnosed with kidney disease. For patients who require it, we coordinate and manage dialysis access through Beacon Medical Group Vascular Interventional Radiology.
