- For our patients and their families, coping with a life-limiting illness can be frightening, and even overwhelming. Hospice care can help ease the burden. We treat the patient, not the illness, so the emphasis is on minimizing pain and symptoms while maximizing comfort, quality of life and mental wellbeing. Hospice is about celebrating life and allowing patients and their families to get the most of out every day. Hospice of the Sierra provides a team-based approach-physicians, nurses, home health aides, social workers, spiritual counselors and volunteers. We have servicing Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties for over 30 years and provide 24/7 service. From the time of contact we guarantee that we will be in your home to introduce ourselves and develop a personal care plan within 24 hours. LOVING MEMORIES We also offer a unique videotaping service called, "loving Memories" designed for you or your loved one to share an everlasting memory of life stories. COMMUNITY BASE Hospice of the Sierra is based in the foothills on the Sierra Nevada's and provides care to patients of all age suffering from any life-limiting diagnosis. Our strong volunteer base provides additional strength to our team by spending quality time with our patients and helping the families cope with the situation at hand.
