Primary Care Providers include family practice physicians, internal medicine physicians, pediatricians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants. These providers manage the care of each patient by providing regular exams and screenings, treating chronic and acute illnesses and coordinating additional care for their patients. Forest Road Primary Care is one of our rural health clinics at the Forest Road Health and Wellness Center. The primary purpose for a rural health clinic is to serve and care for the community's Medi-Cal clients. Forest Road Primary Care offers medical care for adolescents all the way to geriatric patients. They offer general check-ups, immunizations, and women's health as well as care for episodic illnesses. The practitioners at Forest Road Primary Care focus on preventative care and treating the whole patient.

Sara Richey, MD, has been a family practitioner for over 25 years and has spent the last four years at the Forest Road Primary Care Clinic. Richey received her undergraduate degree from University of California, San Diego and went on to complete medical school at Stanford School of Medicine. In her practice she enjoys women's health, preventative health and adolescent health. Richey is a mother of seven, a grandmother of ten and an expert embroiderer and seamstress. Julia A. Gustafson, FNP/PA-C has worked in family practice since 1990. Prior to working at Forest Road Primary Care she was a staff RN for five years. She studied at Pacific Union College and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then went on to the University of California, Davis for her Family Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant Certification and also earned a Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska. Currently, Julia enjoys working at Forest Road Health and Wellness Center. She enjoys the outdoors, gardening, camping, hiking and kayaking. She has also participated on mission trips to Mexico and medical mission trips to the South Pacific.
