Shortly after Eddie's son Charlie joined the business, the two moved Riverside to a former trolley car repair station on High St in Somersworth, NH. Here Riverside Garage has continued to serve the residents of Seacoast NH and Southern ME. Although Eddie has passed away, his sons Charlie and Tim, and grandson Eric continue the tradition he started over 60 years ago. Riverside Garage is located in a building with an interesting history. The building was built around the turn of the century as the trolley car barn for Union St. Railroad that ran from downtown Dover to downtown Somersworth. It was also part of Burgett Park later named Central Park. Central Park was a resort destination that featured a casino, baseball fields. Here they repaired the trolley cars and had a turnstile for changing direction until the trolley cars stopped running during the Great Depression. In years later the building was used as a trucking terminal until Edward and Charlie George acquired the building in the mid 1970's and it became the home of Riverside Garage & Leasing
