I had accepted an offer on my home and signed a contract with a buyer. They hired terminix to do an inspection. Jeffrey Bullock came to do the inspection when we weren't home and wrote a report that was completely false and caused our buyer to back out. He stated that there was wood to earth contact all the way around the house and contact with standing water. This is untrue and when I called him to question him about it he said that the wood was within 6 inches of the ground which would mean he would only recommend treating for termites even though he saw no evidence of them. This is fine and within the bounds of the contract but the wording of his report made it seem like there were major structural issues. The way he described our 100 year old cabin that has withstood water damage and termites since before his grandparents was insulting and fraudulent. If you are in the process of selling your home, do not allow terminix to perform the inspection if you want the deal to go through.
