Mr. Steele began his first career when he entered the United States Military Academy at West Point where he earned a degree in Science and Engineering. Upon graduation, he was commissioned in the United States Marine Corps and served as a Marine Officer and military pilot. Highlights of that twenty year career include the following: aviator and test pilot; highly decorated combat veteran; promotion to the rank of Lt. Mr. Steeles informal education as a financial planner began in the early 1970s when he developed a strong interest in getting his own financial house in order. Fascinated by the complexity of investing and financial planning, he formalized his education at the University of Hawaii where he earned the professional designation of CFP. He is a member of the California Association of Certified Financial Planners, the Institute of Certified Financial Planners (ICFP), and the ICFP Registry of CFP Licensed Practitioners, the latter membership requiring strict adherence to a code of ethics and a continuing educational program.
