Established in 1919, The American Legion is a nonprofit organization for war-time veterans. The organization has more than 3 million members in over 15,000 posts worldwide. It offers a variety of services and benefits to members. The company works in partnership with First National Bank Omaha to help members obtain a variety of financial programs and services. The American Legion also assists members in obtaining Medicare and insurance coverage plans. Through various vendors, the organization helps members receive loan programs for remodeling and relocation of the residential properties. The organization additionally works in partnership with eye care centers to detect vision conditions, such as cataract, glaucoma and macular degeneration. Headquartered in Indianapolis, The American Legion maintains a location in Soldier Grove, Wis.
