- Dental ExaminationEvery full dental exam may be slightly different based on the patient’s situation. However, most full dental exam services include dental X-rays, an oral examination, a check for signs of oral cancer, and a teeth cleaning and polishing.
- X-rays
- Oral Cancer ScreeningDuring an oral cancer screening exam, your dentist looks over the inside of your mouth to check for red or white patches or mouth sores. Using gloved hands, your dentist also feels the tissues in your mouth to check for lumps or other abnormalities. The dentist may also examine your throat and neck for lumps.
- Teeth CleaningRegular prophylaxis appointments are recognized by the American Dental Association and dental insurance companies as a necessary preventive measure once every six months. A prophylaxis appointment means that you will receive a thorough teeth cleaning by a dental hygienist and a complete examination by a dentist.

- Dental SealantsDental sealants are thin coatings that when painted on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth (molars) can prevent cavities (tooth decay) for many years. Sealants protect the chewing surfaces from cavities by covering them with a protective shield that blocks out germs and food.

- CrownsI have had a lot of dental work completed on me over the years. I am very apprehensive about going to the dentist. Some of my experiences have not been great. However Patrick Family Dental is one of the best I’ve been to. I have had cleanings, a crown replaced and a partial completed there in the last 6 months and each time I went I was met by smiling happy staff. My hygienist is Jenny. She is awesome. Makes you feel right at ease and my teeth feel great after her cleanings. Dr. Leslie is also awesome. It’s like she is artistic as a dentist. She is always cheery and caring in her work. I was amazed and completely happy with my recent crown work and partial creation. All of the support staff are engaged and happy. So when you go you will feel right at ease. I needed that. My husband needed that. I am glad I chose Patrick Family Dental when we moved to Smyrna. I highly recommend them. This will be my dentist office for life no matter where I live.

- Restorative DentistryRestorative dentistry refers to any dental procedure that repairs or replaces a tooth. Restorative procedures include cavity fillings, root canals, and even dental implants. There can be two goals in restorative dentistry: to restore the function of the teeth and to restore the appearance of the teeth.
- Root Canal TreatmentTherapy Root canal treatment is a dental procedure that relieves pain caused by an infected or abscessed tooth. During the root canal process, the inflamed pulp is removed. The surfaces inside the tooth are then cleaned and disinfected, and a filling is placed to seal the space.
- Deep Cleaning
- DenturesA dental bridge permanently replaces missing teeth with false teeth. The bridge is attached to the teeth on either side of the gap. Bridges are usually made of porcelain or metal, a mixture of the 2, or zirconia. They are fixed in place and, for some people, are an alternative to dentures.
- Dental ImplantsDental implants are medical devices surgically implanted into the jaw to restore a person’s ability to chew or their appearance. They provide support for artificial teeth, such as crowns, bridges, or dentures.
- Invisalign OrthodonticsWhat Is Invisalign? Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that straightens teeth without the use of metal braces. Invisalign is a series of custom-made clear braces that cover your teeth and gently pull them into the proper position over time.
