I have been going to Alpine for close to 20 years. The bakery and its staff are sooo good that I now drive from Wantagh (where I moved) all the way to Smithtown because they are worth the 45 minute drive!!! From their amazing cakes, to their pies and cookie platters, Alpine is the only bakery for my family!!!
I've been a customer with Alpine for 3 years and I consider them one of the best bakeries on Long Island. Their Italian pastries are fantastic and their Cannolis are the best I've had in years. They have the old world taste that I remember from when I was a child growing up in Queens. 69 years old here and this is ine great bakery. From soup to nuts as they say they are top notch
Not like the old days! A 9 inch cake refers to the plate size and not the cake. Cakes have lost circumference & depth yet the prices increased. The taste is good but you don't bet value for your money.
