General Info

Visionware Systems was founded in 1976 as a photography, catalog layout and printing company. We recognized early that the digital revolution was going to change the face of the photography business and we were one of the first companies to purchase and use high-resolution digital cameras in our day-to-day operations. It didn't take long to see that digital imaging was here to stay and that printing was becoming "digital" too. Thus, Electronic Sample Bag was born. ESB was a pioneering laptop application for Visual Sales Force Automation that used our highly detailed color accurate photography. In these early days, there was no reliable Internet so we developed ESB to take and transmit orders over standard phone lines. Now, of course, the Internet is almost everywhere...but, when we are talking about sales, almost isn't good enough. Today, ESB uses the Internet when available and can still use dial-up where necessary!
