I am looking for a place in siouxfalls,so,dak but none are in my range.a place that is felone friendly. My husband gets out in May and need to find a place my next month.I am on social security and rent would have to be at least 500.00$a month and work with me on deposit until he gets home. Please if there is some place out there in siouxfalls I would like to get one. I lived in Springfield for 5years and was never late on rent.if that I've been early in paying the rent. We've been in a home for almost a week and already regretting renting from this company. I should have known by the way we were treated by the leasing person that it was going to be bad. The house we rented is cute and we love it. We're happy with the type of home we chose. Aplus is ok if we do some cosmetic updates like remove ugly wallpaper and paint which I will be doing. Then, we move in and notice that two of the bedrooms have nails and tacks sticking out of the carpet because while walking around barefoot my son and I step on them. My 3 year old son and I have cut our feet. The carpet is extremely dirty and looks like it was never cleaned. I emailed Rose, who we were told who was the owner of the home but really isn't, to let her know that the carpet is very bad, that tacks are sticking out resulting in cuts on our feet and needs to be replaced. I offered to go in on half of the cost since we will be in the home for at least 2 years and I even went out of my way to contact several companies to get quotes. I got a quote for about $500 so that means we each pay around $250. Not a bad deal at all.



I knew they'd go in on this because I've talked to the other tenants around us, one of which is a co-worker, and she has done this before. She has reimbursed tenants for work they do and has gone in on the cost on some things. The wallpaper removal, painting, refinishing the bathtub (which is unusable) and re landscaping the front yard are all coming out of my pocket so to ask for half of the cost of the carpet is very reasonable.



So far my correspondence with Rose has been the same as with Samantha. Short, cold and unprofessional. Once we move in they don't give a crap about you. She refuses to go in on the cost of the carpet. So our options are we pay for it ourselves or avoid using the 2 main level bedrooms. Neither are ok. We have a legal right to a safe dwelling and it's their responsibility to fix things like this.



I'm stuck in a lease and dealing with these people but I would never ever recommend them if you want things done. I've heard nothing but terrible things from the neighbors around us about this company and more online reviews are needed to let them know that their services is terrible. Granted, it's been a week but I am pissed. With the updates I am doing to this house I expect to get my deposit back in full and they will be going in on new carpet. I have an attorney who will make sure of that!



If you're looking for a rental home, I suggest going elsewhere unless you're ok with working with people who are difficult and really don't give a crap about you and your family. Just my advice that I hope changes over time. :)

UPDATE: Rose, the landlord, came by to look at the carpet and she then realized how bad it is after seeing it. They're replacing the carpet in one room and cleaning the rest of the house. I am happy now that she has realized I was not over exaggerating the awful carpet.



UPDATE 2: They screwed us out of a couple hundred dollars. They treat other tenants better than others (play favorites). They lie. They don't give a crap about their tenants. They also don't care what kind of people they allow to move in. Our new neighbors are disgusting. I've been here a month and I hate it. I may try to get out. I've rented my entire life and I've never had problems with a management company before. This is the worst management company I've ever known. I've talked to a couple people directly and they've told me similar stories. Don't rent here. It's not worth your time or money!



The review below says it perfectly! "Rose is a disgrace of a business owner. A women of her age should be HONORABLE not a LYING money hungry RAT!" She cares nothing about you or the home. Just about money.
