East Middle School was established in 1917, and is located in Sioux City, Iowa. The school is affiliated with the Sioux City Community School District, and offers classes in grades six through eight. It offers academic classes in various subjects, including English, math, science, social studies, health, physical education, special education, art and music. The school offers various activities, such as jazz band, choir, orchestra, music honor group, student council, assemblies, math and spelling bees, builder s club, sign language, drill team and peer helpers. The school also offers community services, counseling service, library, computer laboratory and health services. The school has more than 198,000-square-feet of space with more than 900 students and over 125 staff members.
