Paramount to land development today is an understanding of how under-valued curb parking and off-street parking requirements have negatively impacted the fabric of our communities since the automobile was mass-produced, and continues to today. Visionary owners/developers architects and engineers must step-up and be first to demonstrate to their peers and city agencies how to emancipate themselves from required parking and lay the groundwork for many small, but significant reforms that will follow from the understanding that undervalued parking has a high cost.
