I could not agree more with the former post regarding the blatant dishonesty of the personal at Air Kool. It appears to be systemic. They will manufacture whatever lie is necessary to avoid taking responsibility. This one rots from the head. I strongly advise everyone I know not to invite these people into your life. I am not in the heat in air business and have no agenda other than to warn other consumers to avoid these people. I can only speak of my own experience dealing with them. They've been around a while and obviously have done a few things right, but when they don't, don't expect them to step up and make it right, you will be the enemy, and they WILL lie against you.. My true rating is negative 5 stars, but this site will not accept choosing ZERO, or less..

Contracted for a new unit but they installed a two year old unit. Another HVAC contractor pointed out several code violations. Permit obtained more than a year after install after a complaint by us but it has yet to be inspected and its been five years. Ten year parts and labor by air Kool contract but they now refuse to honor it. Have had nothing but trouble with unit resulting in several service calls every year from the very beginning due to improper install. Filed a complaint with BBB and their response was filled with lies. They claimed my wife tried to pay a technician with beer, that the unit was installed correctly and a permit was obtained prior to install and that it was our responsibility to get the inspection and it was inspected and passed. All false and I have the documentation to prove it. Very unethical business practices at least in our case. I would not contract this company to even clean my air ducts. My. case may be an isolated incident. I hope so. I would recommend avoiding this particular business. We addressed our disappointment in a letter to the owner and he never responded or made any attempt to address our concerns. Also the unit they installed was, according to several other HVAC contractors we had look at it, too small for our home and the return was way to small to provide efficient operation of the unit. The last service call was during the coldest part of winter. The technician said we needed a couple of parts to repair the unit at a cost of over $500. What happened to our warranty? We got a second opinion and the unit was repaired with one part for a cost of one fourth the cost Air Kool quoted us. He also opened up the return and we have had no issues with the unit since. Their technicians are either incompetent or they have additional unethical business practices. I could go on and on about the problems we have had with this company. Litigation is eminent after we pay someone to fix their incompetent installation. Don't trust what their secretary tells you. She seems to be very dishonest and unethical. She is the one that responded to our BBB complaint with all the lies. If she claims to be a Christian, she apparently puts no stock in the law of the Ten Commandments about " Thou shall not bear false witness. "
