Dr. Ackerman treats a wide variety of cancers and hematologic disorders. As a person who's family has been deeply affected by cancer, she has a special interest in cancer genetics. She received her certification in genetic cancer risk assessment through City of Hope. This certification provides genetic counseling to both affected and unaffected individuals seeking to learn more about potential genetic factors that may influence their cancer risk.
