Burroughs Elementary School is an educational institution that provides a range of academic programs to more than 290 students in kindergarten through grade five. It conducts classes in reading, writing, physical education and language arts. The school provides speech therapy for students with special needs. It operates a parent-teacher association that serves as a resource for students, parents and staff. The school s staff includes nurses, custodians, supervisors, counselors, psychologists and a librarian. It is a part of the Long Beach Unified School District, which offers educational programs to over 90,000 students through nearly 95 elementary, middle and high schools. Burroughs Elementary School is located in Signal Hill, Calif.
