Look somewhere else. The management is somewhat friendly but only until you move in. Once you sign that lease they are a nightmare. They obviously had too much on their hands to help me ever. The maintenance was unable to fix my dishwasher. They have the biggest cockroaches! Half the complex will flood during rainy season and they will not inform you. The apartments look nice but I assure you the building quality is poor. There aren't built in washers. They have a room on site with half the machines broken so that you will have to gamble your quarters finding the right ones and you'll have to pay twice to dry since the dryers barely ran. Check and make sure that your apartment has cable outlets because the apartment I leased was "cable-ready" and I ended up paying 200 after the complex management office refused to pay for the installation. And make sure your "quarenteed parking" is labeled. I was told to use a spot that was not labelled with the correct number and almost got towed.

The office staff is horrible any positive review was written by them. Once you sign the contract they want nothing to do with you. If you mention breaking your lease they will happily put the paper in front of you and tell you the outrageous amount you will owe. They act like they are untouchable and residents are nobody's. It's horrible. Please do your research. I learned a lot by experience and talking to a lot of neighbors. Its sad but I literally cried because I couldn't get out of my lease. I made the mistake don't make the mistake. The front part is taken care of but they could care less about the back. Don't make the same mistake I did. It's a waste of money

I am going on my second year living here (not by choice)and these have been quite possibly the worst two years of my life. To start, forget about the apartment you are shown, you will not get it. Instead, you will get an outdated, dilapidated, and poorly maintained unit. Upon moving in, our carpet was severely stained, there were noticeable holes in the walls and doors that were just taped over and painted, the dishwasher was and is still broken, the refrigerator was and is freezing everything you put in it after a day, there is a crack that runs the entire span of the living room ceiling, and there are no lights in the bedroom. We have gone a total of eight nights without AC during the hot summer months due to poor/improper maintenance. The parking lot floods regularly when it rains.. It flooded so bad last July that the water level rose to over fifteen inches and caused $8,500 worth of damage to my car. This happened right after several complaints were filed with the City of Shreveport. They came out to assess the issue just to find that the problem lay with fallen fence that was blocking the drainage, fallen fence that belonged to Towne Oaks South. The city told management to remove the debris and there would be no more problem. Did they? No.. Thirty minutes later my car was under water. Trying to make management address problems is useless. They are very unprofessional and extremely rude. We were forced to sign another six month lease here due to misinformation about the policy regarding required notice. When discussing this issue with one of the staff, my wife was told by said staff member, and I quote, "That white girl over there is the one that told you wrong, you need to go get up in her face!" Can you say ghetto? This place is a joke and there are simply no words to describe the management personnel. Save yourself the money and headache and go somewhere else. I would rather live on the street that have to sign another lease with Towne Oaks South or any BH Management owned property for that matter..
