The Glen Retirement System is a nonprofit, mission-driven organization founded in 1898 to serve seniors in the Shreveport and Bossier, La. community. The system comprises five distinct operations that include Glen Oaks Retirement Home, Village Health Care at the Glen, Stiles Apartments at the Glen, Glenview Gardens Retirement Community and the Glen's Community Services at the Highland Center. Village Health Care is a full-service retirement community that provides long-term care and 24-hour professional nursing care to its residents. It offers laundry service, meals, housekeeping, medication monitoring, beauty salon and barbershop, and physical, occupational and speech therapies. It also has a gift shop and a large auditorium to host community events.
