I feel some of the workers at the Providence House (including some of those at the top) don't need to work with homeless/disadvantaged families. They don't really care about these families and don't know how to talk to the adults or children. Instead of encouraging the families, they belittle the families. Some of the workers take donations meant for the families for themselves; they talk about the children and parents instead of trying encourage them and set examples for them of how life can be with hard work and determination. Why would you want to humiliate someone that is already down? I am not saying that all the workers at the Providence House are terrible but so many of them are. Try putting yourself in these families place. You would not want those that are supposed to be there to help you, treating you as misfits, talking about you or taking advantage of you. This facility could be a Five star facility if only more of the workers really cared about these families.
