Closed now, but the Cupcake Gallery that took its place still has the same coffee menu. I liked it better when it was the old Courtyard Coffee; the new store lacks atmosphere and only has cupcakes. Bring back the old Courtyard Cafe!

The drinks and desserts are excellent. The beignets are the best outside of New Orleans, and the service is great. The courtyard is comfortable and the sound of the fountain trickling makes the experience very relaxing. Inside there are big leather chairs and a couch to relax on. The meeting room in the back is a great place to study or have a meeting, and is free with reservation or otherwise first come first served. The WiFi is reliable and fast. Students, families, retirees, and business men and women are regulars. Mornings are more peaceful than afternoons, and more students come at night to study. This is a great place to be productive or just hang out. Live entertainment occurs on occasion. My favorite coffee shop in Shreveport.
