Great luthier and builder. I was lucky to have him repair the neck break on my 1994 Centennial Gibson Les Paul Standard, after a careless bass player knocked it off it's stand on stage. I was completely satisfied with the exemplary repair and refinish and setup! Had it done within the time promised, and you could not see where the break was, no matter how closely you look. Very reasonable pricing, I checked other highly recommended luthiers, and the Gibson Repair Shop, before deciding on Gene. He was in line with every top choice available, and he was close enough that I didn't have to ship the guitar. I highly recommend him, he took me thru his shop, showed me examples of his previous work and gave me the confidence that my precious LP was in good hands. When I picked it up five weeks later, I was truly impressed with the quality and craftsmanship that was readily apparent! Thank you Gene, I'm more than happy to send anyone your way!

I take my guitars to Gene Liberty for any and all repairs because he is a true craftsman and an extraordinary luthier. Gene is truly concerned that I will be happy with the end result of his work. I live about three hours from Gene's shop, and yes there are luthiers closer to home, but I am willing to spend the time to take my guitars to him because I trust him and have confidence in his work.
