General Info

My name is Billy Green I will be your commercial hot air balloon pilot. I am a family man with a wife and two amazing children. I have been working with balloons for over 17 years. As a child, I remember the amazing balloons at the Kentucky Derby Balloon Festival, the colors and shapes. Then many years later a balloon showed up at a small church that I volunteered at for our fall festival. He needed some help to set up his balloon so he could offer tethered rides. After crewing for this pilot for almost 12 years I decided to pursue my pilot certificate. Now I have had the opportunity of owning several different balloons and offering my expertise to my community and surrounding areas. I have flown in several states and in Leon, Mexico. I have also been involved with the Albuquerque New Mexico Balloon Festival, one of the largest consecutively running balloon events in the world. I am also very involved with my church and community. I work for the Board of Education for the last five years working with all ages and abilities. I am a former president and current member of our local Balloon society of Kentucky (BSOK), and also a member of the Balloon Federation of America (BFA). When you meet me you will see I have a passion for youth, a love for God and ballooning.
