      General Info

      At Phrisky Farms we are dedicated to raising purebred Irish Dexter Cattle. We strive to breed for good dispositions, excellent conformation, the best milking genetics, delicious meat, and animals that will go from pet to the show ring and win!We now are dedicated to producing a dual purpose Dexter that you can milk or eat and be correct enough to show. We test every calf to make sure that they are genetically healthy and to determine if they are carries of the A2/A2 gene. We started breeding this wonderful dual purpose breed in 2005. We had been raising our own beef for many years and always looking for someone to split it with us. When we found the Dexter's, we no longer had to split a whole steer; the meat was delicious (often referred to as Kobe beef). They are easy on our fences and we can now keep many more animals on less acreage. They naturally marble on grass alone, no more huge corn bills to pay as we finished out our larger bred steers. Oh and let’s not forget how wonderful the milk, cheese, butter, and ice cream you can produce from our Dexters.Be sure to check out pictures of our Dexter’s FOR SALE and EVENTS page to view our inventory and see what show we will be at next.
