Matt was born and raised in Killingworth, Connecticut and currently resides in Durham with his family. Matt’s introduction into the grooming world started in 2005 when he adopted his two loving poodles, Vader and Lulu. The love for these animals led Matt to then explore his talents in grooming. He soon found that it became a natural ability. Matt then made his way to grooming school where his success as a student paved the way for him to then become one of the school’s most valued facilitators! Matt truly believes he has the best job in the world. He spends his days working with many different kinds of animals and has gotten to understand each and every breed. Whether it is understanding their unique qualities and sensitivities while grooming or using special techniques when removing matting, he always comes away feeling rewarded at the end of the day. He is a true animal lover and when he is not working, he looks to give his time and energy to wonderful animal causes. Matt treats each and every animal with the utmost care and compassion. He prides himself most in being the voice for those animals he works with and expressing their each and every need to their respective owners. In addition to Vader and Lulu, Matt owns several bullmastiffs – some of which have become the nation’s top dogs. His awards are both extensive and well known in the dog show world. Matt is appreciative every day to do both something he loves and feels so passionately about.
