Sheldon Middle School serves students in grades five through eight. It offers academic programs in language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. The school additionally offers classes in art, vocal and instrumental music, computer science, and health and physical education. Sheldon Middle School has an athletics department that offers a variety of sports activities, such as football, basketball, wrestling, volleyball, baseball, softball, and track and field. The school conducts health screenings for vision and hearing disorders, scoliosis, and height and weight issues. The school supports the Future Farmers of America and student council, as well as dance, band and choir clubs. In addition, it provides homework assistance to students. The school is located in Sheldon, Iowa, and is a part of the Sheldon Community School District.
