What a lovely stay to look around the area in southern hospitality. We were treated as family by a genuine and wonderful hostess, Pat Sherrill....to huge breakfasts with many entrees every morning. It was a joy to visit with her while my husband worked on his business mail every evening and learn about the area and the history of many of the spots we saw. She had great recommendations for the next day as well. The ONLY thing that COULD have been a problem...and she made sure it wasn't...was my husband's allergy to animals. She has a charming Scottish Terrier that was WELL behaved...but she put him in her bedroom when my husband was at breakfast, so it worked out fine. He was trained never to go upstairs near guest rooms anyway. I recommend it highly to everyone.
