Shares is a private, nonprofit agency that provides services and programs for people with disabilities in Shelby, Hancock and Rush counties in central Indiana. It serves individuals with various developmental disabilities, including mental retardation, cerebral palsy, seizures, and physical, hearing and other health impairments. It provides industrial and community services, and its products include child DNA kits and promotional items, such as coasters, drink ware, key tags, radios, retractable badge holders and custom-woven and printed landyards. Its industrial services include assembly, kitting, packaging and repackaging, hand finishing, bindery, mailing, ligh manufacturing and reworking. Its community services offer adult living skills training, program development, community programs, and jobs and support services. Shares is located in Shelbyville, Ind.
