We research product prior to purchasing, especially when we are not familiar with them, as was the case with MLC windows. We saw negative reviews that concerned us. We discussed our concerns with our builder and requested that he provide alternative choices. In a high-end home, we expect quality, and do not want to replace the product in five years. We were told that alternatives would potentially come with a very costly up-charge. Our builder said MLC windows are in his own home. He assured us that out of all homes he has built, issues with MLC have been few. Of those few occurrences, MLC took care of them promptly and with complete customer satisfaction. The builder said the reason he switched to MLC windows several years ago was because of mounting issues he had with other companies. He further stated that MLC has out-performed them all. Our builder took initiative and called MLC (a local company). He encouraged me to set up a tour and witness the manufacturing process. Upon arriving, Michael, the owner/manager of the company, personally gave us a tour of the entire facility. He walked us through the manufacturing process from start-to-finish. It took about two hours. We discovered that MLC manufactures window panes for other companies and those companies use them in their own products. Afterward, Michael took us to a conference room to discuss our concerns. I was very candid about the reviews I had read. He spent at least an hour courteously addressing and answering all issues to our satisfaction. He told us the history of the company that was started by his family. Michael is a gracious and humble man with integrity and pride in his work. I have to say, we were quite impressed with Michael and the entire experience. We left confidently assured that MLC windows will be long lasting, low maintenance quality product that comes with excellent customer service for our new home.
