Located in Shelby, N.C., Boiling Springs Elementary is a coeducational school that enrolls students in kindergarten through grade five. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as mathematics, social studies, science, computers, music, art and physical education. The school offers a range of after-school interscholastic and cocurricular activities. Boiling Springs Elementary has a media center that stocks magazines and periodicals, fiction and nonfiction books and other reference materials. The school also provides several programs that are designed to meet the educational needs of students with learning disabilities. It has a parent teacher organization that provides support and assistance to school by organizing various fundraising events and activities. Boiling Springs Elementary was awarded the Exemplary School of Excellence award in the years 2004 and 2005.
