General Info
Legacy Architecture, Inc. is an architectural design and consulting firm offering professional services to building owners, homeowners, civic groups, and municipalities who are drawn to the firm for its expertise in historic preservation, community & recreational, residential, and commercial projects. Legacy Architecture offers an unmatched ability to deliver quality professional services, listen to client’s needs, generate a variety of thoughtful design solutions, and stay abreast of the latest construction technologies. The purpose of Legacy Architecture is to enable the firm’s clients to live and work more sustainably by providing creative, timeless designs and exceptional professional services aimed at preserving the past, designing for the present, and planning for the future. In addition to project management and oversight from project conception to completion, Ms. Lehrke’s responsibilities include marketing, design, technical development, specification writing, and construction contract administration. Clients and associates are familiar with her resourcefulness and ability to listen carefully, generate multiple options, work out details, and produce solutions that meet her client's visions, ensuring the best possible outcome. Over the past ten years, Ms. Lehrke has become a state-wide leader in preservation services and is the only licensed architect in the state who provides a full spectrum of both architectural design and consulting services, ranging from simple façade and feasibility studies, National Register of Historic Places nominations, and reconnaissance and intensive surveys, to historic structures reports. Her award winning historic preservation work ranges from a $10 million theatre restoration to an office addition to a small storefront, attesting to her level of expertise with regards to historic buildings and commitment to preserve the legacy of our past. Ms. Lehrke tries to incorporate environmentally friendly concepts into each of her projects. Whether it’s a decision on siting a building for best solar access, designing an energy efficient envelope, or selecting low-flow plumbing fixtures; every decision helps contribute to the overall environmental “health” of a project. Demonstrating advanced knowledge in and a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles, Ms. Lehrke was certified as a LEED AP by the U.S. Green Building Council in 2008, becoming the first practicing architect in Sheboygan County to receive the designation. Ms. Lehrke upgraded this designation for a specialty in Building Design & Construction (BD+C) in 2010, further attesting to her level of commitment and expertise to provide environmentally responsible building as her legacy to the earth and future generations.
