Gordon Kelley, MD, FAAN, is an experienced, Board-certified neurologist with AdventHealth Medical Group Neurology at Shawnee Mission, where he has provided neurologic care for patients since 1983. He is Board-certified in neurology, electrodiagnostic medicine and vascular neurology and he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology (FAAN). In addition to his work in direct patient care, Dr. Kelley serves as president of the medical staff at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission and as medical director of the hospital’s Stroke Center for Excellence. He also serves on the Board of Directors for AdventHealth's Institute of Spirituality in Health. Dr. Kelley earned his medical degree from the University of Calgary Cumming School of Medicine in Alberta, Canada. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals and his neurology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. He actively participates in the improvement of neurologic medicine; he has served as primary investigator for studies on stroke and vascular disease and serves as an ad hoc reviewer for the medical journal, Neurology. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Neurology, the American Stroke Association, the American Academy of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the Kansas Medical Society.
