No wonder the post office is a dying institution. Carrier pigeons might be a better alternative. My mail is often incorrectly delivered to a similar (but not identical) address in my neighborhood or a nearby neighborhood. I was expecting a tracked package today. It didn't arrive, even though the online tracking site showed it as having been delivered. Instead, I did receive someone else's package from the Federal Government, which looked like it might be a passport or some other important document. Our names aren't even similar, and we live in different neighborhoods. Wonder who received my package. Finally, delivery time is very inconsistent, and ranges anywhere from around 11:30am-2:30pm. The fact that some days I get mostly 1st class mail, and other days it's mostly circulars addressed to "current resident" makes me believe that our carrier only sorts the mail every other day or so, but she denies this. I've tried complaining to the postmaster, but with little satisfaction.
