As the area’s only multi-disciplinary work injury treatment facility, the Workplace Injury Institute at Shamokin Dam Health Center offers the injured worker exceptional occupational medical services including: Chiropractic Care is the most widely recommended treatment for musculoskeletal injuries. Most work related injuries are musculoskeletal, including back, neck, joint and extremity injuries. Massage Therapy the perfect compliment to chiropractic treatment for work injuries. Painful sprains and strains can be addressed directly with massage techniques that improve circulation and stimulate healthy separation and realignment of soft tissue. Using massage to address these soft tissue problems is an important complement to chiropractic care. Rehabilitation Therapy increases strength and mobility and improves everyday work and living skills after injury or surgery. Each treatment plan is custom designed for the individual patients needs. Interventional Pain Management uses minimally invasive procedures to both diagnose and treat the painful areas. The ultimate goal of interventional pain management is to allow you to return to your usual functional level without having to rely heavily on medication.
