General Info

Kara Coffey, MD, is a practicing physician in Allergy and Immunology at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and an assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Coffey received her medical degree from the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed a residency in pediatrics at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh followed by a clinical fellowship in allergy and immunology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Coffey enjoys spending time with her husband, two young sons, two rambunctious Labrador retrievers, and their aloof cat. They enjoy hiking, swimming, puzzles, and cooking.
