My transmission went out while I was on vacation (and on a Sunday no less). I called this shop and spoke to their "after hours" call guy (who happens to just be an employee). They gave me a quote and was told worat case senario, Sunday afternoon. They (Mike) dispatched tow truck and told me that they would drop off a loaner car between 4 and 5 pm. Great!! The loaner car never came, abd the van wasn't finished until Thursday. My final price was 400 dollars over the quote (this comes on top on a rental car fee and extra hotel costs). Unfortunately, this wasn't even the worst of it. I got 100 mils down the road and the transmission that they just put in BROKE (along with that half shaft and A/C). When I finally got home I had my mechanic check it out. He called them and sent them the bill. When we contacted them and they said our mechanic claimed that those things were not their fault. Interestingly enough, I happend to be out to lunch with my mechanic while I was on the phone with them,

Stay clear of this place, very overpriced as I was told $3400 to repair my transmission and when I found someone to do the job for less than half they decided they could do it for less.

I brought my car to the new Power Max transmission shop. I had the car scanned for free, naturally I chose them to do the work. I was offered a rent a car at a small fee. I didn't need it, though. It turns out my rear end was going out on my 5 speed. The counter man sat down with me and told me the different ways I could take care of this. I chose to pay and have them fix my car within two weeks, providing all the right parts are available. I got my car back in 5 days. My car runs great and I am going out of town next weekend. Thanks Power Max!!
