We are proud to offer a full range of health services provided by our outstanding group of physicians and nurse practitioners. Patients of all ages are welcome to be seen. All of our providers accept walk-ins for urgent care visits. If a preferred provider’s schedule is full, another provider will be happy to assist at any time.

People with untreated sleep apnea stop breathing repeatedly during their sleep, sometimes hundreds of times. This means the brain and the rest of the body may not get enough oxygen. Sleep apnea can affect anyone at any age, even children.

We coordinate with our local EMS and with Covenant AeroCare air ambulance services to provide transport to tertiary care facilities when needed.

- GynecologyWendell Parkey, MD graduated with a bachelor of science from Texas Tech University and earned his Doctorate of Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Science Center. He then completed his residency in in obstetrics and gynecology at the world-renowned Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas, where the well-respected medical textbook Williams Obstetrics was authored. Dr. Parkey has practiced medicine for over twenty years and currently serves as Clinic Director for Seminole Family Medical and Chief of Staff for Seminole Memorial Hospital.

- UltrasoundDiagnostic Mammography with Breast Ultrasound must be scheduled only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9-2. Please request your previous mammograms be sent to us 1 week prior to your appointment. Physician’s orders are required.
- MRIOur spacious MRI suite with oversized windows allows even the most anxious patients to undergo MRI exams with ease. Choose your favorite music genre to enjoy on protective noise canceling headsets while lying in our well-lit and well-ventilated, large bore high field 1.5 Tesla Siemens Aera 24 magnet. Our technologists are dedicated to making your exam as comfortable as possible with many positioning aids and sponges to support you. Technologists will screen you for any metal or medical implants and you will be asked to change into a gown for your safety. Plan on 30 minutes to an hour for these exams.
- RadiologyThe goal of the Radiology Department at Memorial Hospital is to provide the highest quality diagnostic imaging services available from a facility our size to the residents and visitors of Gaines County and to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of your condition right here at home with the lowest radiation exposures possible.
- Nuclear MedicineMemorial Hospital Radiology does not offer nuclear medicine or radiation therapy due to their highly specialized nature. Your local provider will be happy to refer you to a neighboring facility of your choosing.
- MammographyWe are very excited offer some of the most advanced women’s imaging with 3D Digital Mammography with Tomosynthesis and ICAD. We have completed rigorous certification process with the State of Texas and are certified for both 2D and 3-Dimensional Breast Mammography. Our technologists have undergone extensive training and qualification processes to perform high quality mammography. The Siemens Mammomat Revelation helps radiologists to identify the very earliest signs of breast cancer. Results are sent to the patient’s physician and notification letters are sent directly to the patients. We also participate in Breast density notification and patient reminder system.
- Computed TomographyWe are proud to introduce our new Siemens Somatom Go. All 64 slice CT system which allows for decreased patient radiation dose and less contrast material. The technologists can program the examinations at bedside allowing for more personalized patient contact. Our technologists have completed specified training in radiation safety, cross sectional anatomy, and imaging optimization to provide high quality exams. The CT suite is aesthetically pleasing with ample space to accommodate additional patient support when needed. Appointments are available with preauthorized physicians’ orders.

- General SurgeryAt Memorial Hospital, we maintain a general surgical suite in which local physicians as well as out-of-town physicians have approval to perform surgery. Our surgery staff is available Monday through Friday for scheduled surgeries and on-call for emergencies. Other surgeries may be performed at Memorial Hospital are based on the privileges granted to the physician. Ask your physician about Memorial Hospital’s same-day surgery options.

- Skin CareOur nursing staff and other healthcare professionals focus on family-centered baby-friendly care. They will assist in skin-to-skin care post-delivery in order to enhance the bonding of you and your new baby. Seminole Memorial has seven certified Lactation Counselors for mothers who choose to breastfeed, and will assist you and your family with any questions and/or concerns regarding breast and bottle feedings.
- Physical TherapyThe physical therapy clinicians of Seminole Hospital District are highly trained individuals who take pride in the care they provide at our state-of-the-art facility. Individualized care plans are developed for each patient, utilizing cutting edge modalities and treatment techniques. Our licensed clinicians have over 95 years of combined experience in providing the best care available to the patients in our region. We have the only Certified Wound Specialist in a 60-mile radius with patients regularly being referred from physicians across the South Plains and Permian Basin. We also have a therapist who is certified in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Management (IASTM).
