I was out of town for several days and when I returned I discovered I had a broken water faucet outside. I could not find the cut off valve because there was dirt up to the top of the water meter box. The plumber had to dig out the dirt before he could start the repairs. But, for a situation like that, there is no adjustments to the water bill, $259.00 when my usual is never over $27.00. HOWEVER, I have lost 1/2 day of work because I have no water. I will possibly miss a whole day! So what if I make NO adjustment and want reimbursement for the hours I have missed from my job today. Point to be taken: I had no more control over my situation than the West Dallas Water Authority has over the situation this morning that has caused a great deal of inconvience for me as well as the customers in this area. So my check is in the mail for my bill, when I can I expect an adjustment on my account?
