Established in 1962, Heber Hunt Elementary School offers a range of educational services to more than 500 students in Kindergarten through grade five. It provides special education to students with learning disabilities. The school also conducts a variety of counseling sessions. Heber Hunt Elementary School operates a parent-teacher organization that works for students welfare. It maintains a library that stocks a variety of newsletters, reference materials and books on different subjects. Additionally, the school offers special services to gifted and talented students. It provides classes in music and art. Heber Hunt Elementary School has a mentor partnership with Whittier High School. It also administers several afterschool programs. The school is governed by Sedalia School District 200.
