With a location in Sebastopol, Calif., TLC Child and Family Services is a private, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization that provides shelter, education, guidance, emotional healing and support for children. The organization offers adoption services, financial assistance for children up to the age of 18 and ongoing social work support for families. It also provides support for adoption planning and placement and foster care services. TLC Child and Family Services administers an outpatient mental health services program for adolescents and their families. In addition, the organization supports a vocational program for students to help them start learning about the responsibilities of employment. It offers vocational testing, career exploration, job placement assistance and referral to work experience programs.
