General Info
The Urology department has been an important part of Virginia Mason for more than 80 years. Urology patients are seen at the Seattle Main Clinic (Buck Pavilion Level 7), as well as our clinics in Bellevue, Federal Way, Issaquah and Lynnwood. We currently have eight board certified urologists, a board certified internist, clinical fellows, research fellows, urology residents and a host of specialized research and clinical nurse specialists to provide the latest and best quality urologic care to our patients. Each of our physicians, in addition to providing general urologic care, have specific areas of expertise to assure that the most complex problems are managed by a regional and often national expert. Some Areas of Specialty Include: * Bladder Replacement Surgery *Continence Center * Prostate Cancer * Sexual Health Clinic * Kidney Stones * Vasectomy * Vasectomy Reversal * Kidney & Pancreas Transplant Surgeon Experience Matters: The New York Times reported that prostate cancer is less likely to relapse in men who are treated by more experienced surgeons. Since 2000, Virginia Mason's Urology Center of Excellence team members have performed more than a combined 1,600 surgeries. Virginia Mason Medical Center includes a multispecialty group physician practice of more than 400 physicians who practice at eight locations throughout the Puget Sound region.
