Hoff.  Mr. Hoff is a licensed attorney in the states of Washington and California, and has been practicing law since 1990 in the greater Seattle area.  The vast majority of Mr. Hoff’s legal experience has been in the areas of commercial real estate and business transactions.  His background includes serving as in-house counsel to a leading Northwest real estate development company, and several years working as a business attorney in a sizeable West Coast law firm.  Mr. Hoff obtained his bachelor’s degree, juris doctorate, and master’s degree in tax law from the University of Washington.  His advanced tax law credentials assist him in solving a wide array of problems with optimal pragmatism and efficiency.

  The firm assists clients in structuring and restructuring a wide variety of investment vehicles.  We regularly deal with partnerships, limited liability companies, and other joint venture ownership vehicles, which are the traditional entities of choice for real estate transactions.  Advanced training allows us to structure transactions with tax consequences in mind, and analyze all options available in order in order to best achieve the tax objectives of our clients.  Our expertise in tax matters is particularly advantageous when working with the complex regulations governing the tax allocations described in partnership and limited liability agreements.  We are also able to provide assistance with like-kind exchanges and other tax advantaged investment strategies.
