African Northwest, established in 1981, is a wholesaler serving retail pet shops, garden centers and nurseries. Its inventory includes fish such as freshwater tropical fish, saltwater fish, ornamental goldfish, tropical aquarium and terrarium plants. During the spring and summer months, it features outdoor water garden plants, pool fish and koi. It also stocks an extensive assortment of birds, reptiles, amphibians, insects and small animals, such as hamsters and mice. Its livestock is quarantined, medicated, conditioned and guaranteed ready for sale. Tropical fish are treated for a minimum of seven days. African Northwest is open Monday through Friday and is located in Seattle.
