Founded in 1969, Little Village School provides education and therapeutic services for infants and young children with physical and mental disabilities. The school provides support services for emotionally disturbed, autistic, learning disabled and neurologically impaired children. It offers a developmental curriculum which covers all areas of learning. The school also offers various programs to guide each child toward achieving the highest potential. Its program incorporates social, perceptual, language, cognitive, fine and gross motor skills within the classroom setting. Its speech-language-hearing program helps children to develop communication skills. The school uses various educational and treatment methods, such as behavior modification, applied behavioral analysis and the Dr. Greenspan's Transactional approach.
