Very solid homes!

I own a Simplex home, the Montgomery model. I love having the laundry room upstairs, and it's a comfortably big laundry, so it is also my sewing and craft room. Also the attic is very nice, I can walk upright up there, and the hidden stair ladder is very cool, my teen wants it to be her bedroom (but sorry the answer is no). It was custom built for the previous owner, so we did some remodelling. When I saw the insides I was astonished. Some of the walls were doubled in sheetrock, and they were glued and screwed (not simply nailed) to the beams. The floors are made of a certain press board material I can't remember what it's called but someone said that is the best kind. I just get the feeling this house was made with pride, and also I imagine if it has to travel in pieces before it is assembled, it would be built very strong, to survive the constant jarring like hours of earthquake. So anyway I am very happy with my home and intend it to be our family home for many generations.
