I went to the Diamond Vault for an independent third party appraisal of I diamond I was selling to a buyer. It was meant to just verify the value of the diamond so the sale could proceed. After a lot of confusion and vague explanations, he told me and my buyer it was worth $4,200 wholesale or $15,500 retail value. We were really just interested in the actual price of the diamond at a store. The guy said he wasn't comfortable providing that answer with me there and asked my buyer to come back later.My buyer went back to the store later and I had no problem with this because I trusted the Diamond Vault. However, I found out later that my buyer was talked into buying from them! I went in only for an appraisal and they stole my sale from me! This is completely dishonest and unethical behavior. I will never use them again. I strongly suggest you stay away from this place.
