The Water Resources department plans, manages and operates water supply and wastewater reclamation systems. It provides a range of customer services. The department operates administration, water conservation and water quality divisions. The Water Resources department also administers the water and wastewater operations division. Its water engineering division is responsible for the coordination of public and private sector water and wastewater systems, including the administration of sewer line extension participation program. The division also oversees the maintenance, implementation and updating of water resources master plans. The Water Resources department operates water reclamation, advanced membrane and drinking water treatment plants. The department is governed by the City of Scottsdale in Arizona, which maintains fire, police, preservation, transportation, financial services, government relations and human resources departments.
