For $10 extra I bought flood insurance. It rained hard in Mesa this summer, I made a claim and I quote " no payment for interior water damage unless force of wind first creates an opening" it seems that water accumulating around your home because of a sudden down pour will not get you qualified. Water rises, it finds places to seep in but since the wind did not create an opening....sorry no coverage. Who knew . I paid extra for flood but this summers floods weren't covered. Save your money on any water related damage, like the old saying goes You never have the right insurance when you need it". And I thought Lawyers were the bottom feeders.
