- ObstetricsInitial Appointment – At your first obstetrics appointment, you will have a complete history and physical examination to including a review of your past medical, surgical and family history and a physical exam to include a culture for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea and Pap Smear (if indicated).

- Ovarian CancerDuring the exam, the doctor will examine your breasts and pelvic organs for any abnormalities or changes. The Pap smear consists of removing some tissue from the cervix for the pathologist to examine. An annual exam is one of the most important steps you can take in preventing disorders of the pelvic organs including cervical and ovarian cancer.

- UltrasoundFinally, you will undergo a vaginal ultrasound to help accurately confirm the due date and viability of the pregnancy.
- General SurgeryDr. Katherine Hall was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, graduating from Alamo Heights High School. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree at Millsaps College, playing volleyball all four years, and then pursued her Master’s degree at Mississippi College. She completed her medical degree at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Afterwards, she returned home to pursue her OB/GYN residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. While in residency she met her fiancé, Dr. Nicholas Hise, who is completing his residency training in General Surgery. They have a sweet yellow Labrador named Olive. Dr. Hall is excited to be practicing in her hometown of San Antonio. She practices both obstetrics and gynecology.
