Founded in 1868, Heritage Home for Women, formerly known as Haven of Rest, is a noninstitutional home-style community that provides a range of services for women. The organization provides housekeeping, laundry, pharmacy deliveries, on-staff nursing and spiritual care services. It can accommodate up to 35 women in its facility. Heritage Home for Women is a nonmedical organization that provides assistance with medication and general medical needs. In addition, the organization s aides assist with personal care and showers. It also organizes various daily activities related to crafts, music, exercise and fitness. Heritage Home for Women is located in Schenectady, N.Y.
